We've Launched - Now Why Join?
A Movement. A Magazine. A Community. A Documentary. An On-Line Conference.
CuttingEdgeLaw.com is all of these.
We launched last night. And today the site is busier than usual and we have new Premium Members. Woo-hoo!
I got an email from Duane at www.peaceinthelaw.com, asking about the benefits of becoming a member of CuttingEdgeLaw.com
I think that it is a benefit to belong to a community of like-minded professionals whose voices are stronger together than individually and having a web presence (the Premium Membership profile) inside of a movement ads credibility.
I just read yesterday about how it helps on Google if you have more than one presence and how being seen as credible in your profession will improve your branding on the web.

(The link above has lots of good reasons for blogging and, just for disclosure, is from a web site that sells blogging services.)
Many peacemaking lawyers have found it is a benefit to know that they are not alone and to have the support of community. Having others for bouncing ideas, sharing experiences, and networking expands our perspectives.
CuttingEdgeLaw.com is already getting attention in the media (Lawyers Weekly will mention us in an upcoming article) and in social networks. We've been building the site live so we're already in the Google searches. We launched last night and already have clients looking for lawyers. We're going to actually step up our efforts to market to clients and add content specifically aimed at them as our next stage of development. The more clients hit our site, the more likely you'll actually get business from your listing. We think our content is interesting enough to the general public that they'll want to know more. We're also developing new features and functions all the time.
And I don't want to understate the opportunity to contribute and be a participant in growing the vision of this way of practicing law. For many of us, it is a passion and we're always looking for ways to express it. With Premium Membership at CuttingEdgeLaw.com, you can post your own blog, participate in discussions, meet others, and share your perspective with the world. Your articles will find audiences interested in reading them!
Maureen Fitzgerald says she has a vision of this site as a combination of Facebook and YouTube for the law. We are that and more. Like public television, we offer quality content that is deserving of support from the community which benefits from having this educational material available.
If those ideas and philosophies are in alignment with your vision and purpose, join and support it. If not, please don't.
