For about a dozen years, I have been emailing and talking on the phone with Stephanie West Allen. We share many common interests - she is a lawyer-mediator, author, web presence and is interested in a lot of topics like neuroscience and webinars. On Wednesday, we finally met! Stephanie had her video camera and I was on the opposite end of the camera from usual. Here is her blog and the videos:

Well, what’s the problem with that you might ask? Just this: there need be no particular emotion involved in that discernment. Empathy can be practiced very effectively in an entirely cold-blooded almost reptilian like way.
