Center for Mediation in Law becomes Center for Understanding Conflict
Pioneers in the movement, Catherine Conner, JD; Gary Friedman, JD; Jack Himmelstein, JD; and Katherine Miller, JD announce:
"As our work has expanded, we have created a new organization—the Center for Understanding in Conflict (CUC)—of which the Center for Mediation in Law (CML) is a part. This reflects our desire to broaden the scope of our trainings in the Understanding Based Approach so as to support professionals who seek to find differing constructive ways to help people work through their conflict together (beyond mediation as well). Our goal is to bring the power of understanding to help the parties deal with conflict productively."
