Nevada Supreme Court Justice Gives State of Judiciary
Chief Justice James Hardesty said in his State of the Judiciary speech:
Nevada’s drug courts and other specialty courts continue to enjoy success, he said. In the last fiscal year, specialty courts across the state saw more than 2,200 participants and had 1,235 graduates, he said.
Thanks to the court, 76 babies who were born to drug court participants were born drug-free, he said, adding that they “now have a chance to grow up without the limitations imposed on them prenatally by drug addicted mothers.”
