Leaving the Law

Various studies have shown that many lawyers are unhappy with the legal profession and would like to choose alternate careers. Cutting Edge Law Publisher, Kim Wright, and several members of Renaissance Lawyer Society Board of Directors collaborated in the updating of the lawyer career book, "What Can You Do With a Law Degree?" by Deborah Arron. The book has an Appendix that lists many of the approaches discussed on this web site. It includes many ideas for alternate careers and exercises for helping to identify what alternate careers you might be suited for.

See www.decisionbooks.com or purchase it at most on-line bookstores. While our preference is that lawyers stay in the profession and change it from within, we know that not everyone is able to do so. Cutting Edge Law also covers options for lawyers who are leaving the profession.
