Editor's Corner & Search Information
How to Search CuttingEdgeLaw.com:
We know that people use the site for many different purposes and that not everyone thinks alike or has the same level of web savvy. So, we offer many ways to search CuttingEdgeLaw.com.
By Search Term:
This is probably the easiest search method. Just put a term in the Search Box and find every place that search term appears on the site.
By Categories and Topics:
Each piece of content (article, blog, video, etc.) is tagged with a Category and Topic. Categories include Collaborative Law, Therapeutic Jurisprudence, Restorative Justice, etc. Categories are subdivided into Topics. The Category and Topics are listed either at the beginning or end of the article or other content. There is a list to the left, in the sidebar, which sorts by Category and Topic and allows you to see how many pieces of content have that tag.
Some content may overlap more than one category or topic. So, there may be a posting about a training in the Collaborative Law Category with the Topic of Continuing Ed. The same event could also fall in the topic of Divorce/Family law and be tagged accordingly.
By Person Mentioned: The tags also indicate who is mentioned in the article. These are usually at the top of the article and link to other mentions of the name. Merely click on one of the names in the tag box or in an article to find more information or other mentions about that person. Also, at the bottom of the page, you will find a list of people mentioned and you can click on the name to find more mentions.
Lawyer & Allied Professional Search: Our directory is reached by clicking on the box in the sidebar or the menu item under "For Clients." There you can find profiles of many of our authors, bloggers, and members.
By Type of Content: In the left sidebar, you can search for all videos or search all videos then refine to only see those which are related to a particular category or topic. So, you can choose Articles and then execute another sub-search for the Topic Apology/Forgiveness to find articles on that topic.
By Audience: We've sorted our content by audience to better serve our readers. Clients may not be interested in the most technical information about collaborative law but may be interested in a brief overview of options in divorce. Some content is appropriate for general audiences but other is of more interest to a specific group. Just click on the word that describes you and you'll see a listing of appropriate content.
By Recent Postings:Menus for Recent Articles, Videos, and Blogs help you keep up with new additions, especially if you're a frequent visitor and want to see what's new.
By Section, below: These articles are categorized by sections by the Editor. As with the others, you may also search by audience, type of media, topic and category at the menu to your left.
