The Courts are in Good Hands
I was scheduled to speak on Friday at the National Association of Women Judges Conference in Memphis. I expected to zoom in, speak, and leave. I almost parked my car in a 2 hour spot but was concerned I might not quite make it back. After all, who wants to hang out with a bunch of women judges?
Well, the answer to that is a resounding ME! Those women were fantastic! They were interesting and interested. They were soaking up the most interesting topics - positive psychology, happiness, diversity, compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, stress management techniques...a lot of the topics you'll find here on CuttingEdgeLaw.com.
Sitting at lunch tables having conversations about consciousness with Supreme Court Justices and having Sandra Day O'Connor lead the conga line weren't quite in my visions of what I might expect at a group of judges. What a pleasant surprise!
