Legal Edgewalkers
Help Wanted: Page Editors
Are you a lawyer or law student interested in learning more about the most cutting-edge legal approaches? Do you want to be involved in a legal community that makes a difference? Then read on.
CuttingEdgeLaw.com is the hub of the Integrative Law movement. We're working on a new and improved community resource center for the movement and we need volunteers. The new information and resource center will be an upgrade from our Cutting Edge Law site, showcasing the growth and developments in the movement and educating our colleagues and the public about the movement. It is a big undertaking and we need the help of the community.
Update from Kim to the Cutting Edge Law Community
Hi everybody,
Connect in California!
If you're in California, want to see me, and haven't heard from me, please be in touch. I'm in the SF Bay area now and will be in southern California in a couple of weeks. There are several events being planned and it is a good opportunity to connect with your kindred spirit lawyers. I want to see you!
Mammoth Web Project
While I am house-sitting in San Clemente (while my hostess walks the Camino del Santiago), first I will be catching up on some writing assignments. Then, I will continue the mammoth project of redesigning the Cutting Edge Law website.
Sean Mason: Working With Core Values (His and His Clients)
If you read yesterday's post about the ABA article, you read some of Sean Mason's story. You may recall that Sean was a featured speaker in our Integrative Legal Entrepreneur series last year. Below is the link to that interview, with Gretchen Duhaime as the interviewer.

Sean talks about how following his purpose and values took courage and led to a busier practice.
Are we the next big wave?
I just got back from Europe a few days ago and have so much to tell you. I've created a schedule (below) that allows me some time to write and work on catching up, but right now, I want to share something quick.
Creating the Future Together: A Global Alliance of Integrative Lawyers Emerges
[I sent this out on 6 June, but several people told me that they didn't receive it, so I am sending again. Please excuse duplicates.]

Creating the Future Together
"What's being born is...something that we can feel in many places across Planet Earth. This future is not just about firefighting and tinkering with the surface of structural change. It's not just about replacing one mindset that no longer serves us with another. It's a future that requires us to tap into a deeper level of our humanity, of who we really are and who we want to be as a society. It is a future that we can sense, feel and actualize by shifting the inner place from which we operate. It is a future that in those moments of disruption begins to presence itself through us." - Otto Scharmer in his new book, Leading from the Emerging Future. Thanks to Kosmos Journal for the quote.
Where is Kim now?
Several times lately, I've gotten emails asking me where I am and what I'm doing, so I thought it was time for an update.
Here are some upcoming events:
I taught at Charlotte Law last summer and several of my students are graduating. Since I am in the area, I wrangled a ticket and will be there to proudly see them walk down the aisle.
I'm off to the Compassionate Organizations conference in Louisville, Kentucky next week, in conjunction with a visit from the Dalai Lama.
Catching up and an urgent request
Link to Conference Videos:
As usual, a lot is percolating. For those who wanted to follow up on the Lawyers as Peacemakers and Healers conference, you can now view the videos at:
www.phoenixlaw.edu/lawyersaspeacemakers
Some of the videos are delayed - the cameras were set to begin at the appointed time, but we didn't always start or end on time. Still, there is a lot of good content.
Urgent: Take a Moment and Support a Kindred Spirit:
Final Program for the PSL Lawyers as Peacemakers Conference
Attached is the newest program for the conference. It isn't too late to register at:
http://phoenixlaw.edu/lawyersaspeacemakers
For those who are not able to come, I don't really want to torture you. I'm excited and I think you will all be excited to see this program, to know that it is happening, to know that people are coming from as far away as Australia, South Africa, the UK and the Netherlands, and from all over the US to gather, learn, and co-create what is next.
Not only is the conference juicy, but the Leadership Summit has exceeded our expectations.
